Photopass Photographers Were Everywhere!

A Photopass Photographer was at the exit to Haunted Mansion.  I guess we did bring a hitchhiking ghost with us!
Yes, it was our 13th trip to Walt Disney World.  Yes, we had pre-purchased Memory Maker and had it linked to our Magical Disney Experience (MDE) account that was linked to our MagicBands.  And, yes, we ended up with 555 photos in our account from four full days in the parks.

Some guests are hesitant to purchase Memory Maker either prior to their trip, which is a discounted $149 (down from $169 just recently--yes, Disney reduced the price of something!) or during their trip--this was $199, but I know the price has been reduced.  Some guests wonder if the product is worth the money.  During our first couple of trips to Walt Disney World way before Memory Maker and MagicBands, we wondered, too.  But sometime around our 2nd or 3rd trip, we realized the purchase of Photopass products, especially at a discounted rate prior to a trip, was definitely worth the money. I've written (and said) this before and I'll write it again. . . how many times have you seen photographs in a garage or yard sale?  Other souvenirs can be outgrown or damaged and yet we often don't hesitate paying $50 for that sweatshirt.  I'll go for photos over stuff anytime!

What made our pre-purchase of Memory Maker even more "worth it" this trip was that we found Photopass Photographers EVERYWHERE!  Okay, not exactly everywhere, I mean, they weren't in the bathrooms, but they were close!  Here's some evidence of where we found Photopass Photographers:

At Disney's Hollywood Studios we found photographers in the Streets of America which was great as this area will be closing April 2.  Sunset Boulevard was another location, both in front of Tower of Terror and also Rock-n-Roller Coaster plaza just under the sign.
At Pixar Place, a photographer added some surprise guests to our photos.

In addition to the traditional spots for photos at EPCOT--in front of Spaceship Earth, we found photographers near the Imagination Pavilion and near some of the topiaries on display for the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival that was starting the day we returned home.

This series of photos were a surprise!  The boy was exploring the Living Seas Pavilion on his own with a camera.  We were outside the Pavilion and he had a specific return time to find us.  He decided to put himself in some Photopass photos, getting his MagicBand scanned.  Yes, he knows how to do this!

With the Beast's Castle in the background.

Big Thunder Mountain always makes a great background!
At Magic Kingdom, we found Photopass Photographers at locations beyond Main Street and the hub in front of the Castle.
Prince Eric's Castle in Fantasyland

Cinderella's Castle from the Tomorrowland Bridge
And, of course a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom would not be complete with a photo of the Tree of Life, but this photo was taken on the backside--on the walk-way between Africa and Asia.

There you have it, some of our 555 Photopass photos from trip #13.  We can't imagine not having Memory Maker and allowing Disney Photopass Photographers to capture the memories of our magical vacations!

Favorite Photopass Photos From Our Disneyland Summer 2015 Vacation

Special photo for the 60th Anniversary Celebration!

It took 15 file downloads to retrieve 570ish Photopass photos taken during our Disneyland vacation.  After paying $69.95 to pre-order Photopass + (it includes dining and attraction photos along with a Photo CD or download of all your photos) and gaining all of those pic, it was a bargain!

Here are some of our favorite Photopass photos:

An icon photo in front of Sleeping Beauty's Caste--not Cinderella's!  The photographer was great to work with!
We waited a bit to meet these guys!  Both the husband and the boy were ecstatic!

The first time we rode Radiator Springs.  It was the first ride on our first day in California Adventure.  This was the only time we used the Stand-by queue for this attraction.  From then on it was Fastpass or Single Rider line.
This is such a good photo of the husband.  He was posing with Lightning McQueen and the boy but the photographer got a close up of just him.  Great pic and another reason we so enjoy Photopass photographers!
Olaf and I both like warm hugs!  Meeting him was on my "wish list."

The second time we rode Radiator Springs that day.  Fastpass!
So I got to meet Olaf, but the husband wanted to meet Oswald.  He was thrilled.  Note:  This whole Disney thing just isn't me!

These two photos were a surprise when I viewed our Photopass photos. . . a pleasant surprise!

Sully was greeting guests and the boy took the opportunity to dance with him.  The Photopass photographer captured all of it!

In Carsland, a Photopass photographer agreed to take photos of us at her desired locations.  She took us to Filmore's and captured these photos.

That same photographer took shots of us walking in Route 66 in Carsland.

In the photo above, the photographer asked us to pose like Wreck-It-Ralph, as he was on our shirts.  The boy immediately took that pose with no direction.  He can be so creative!
A magic photo feature Pete and the boy with a bit of attitude.

Carsland looks and feels different at night.  We were hitchhiking!  Maybe to get to Radiator Springs!

Paradise Pier is a part of California Adventure and includes many attractions.  This is also where World of Color is performed.

In Toontown, I headed to the restroom and these were the photos that were taken by the Photopass photograher.  It was evident that we came to play!

Cinderella showed me how to pose like a princess!

Park icons, characters, magic shots, and photos for fun were all capture by Photopass photographers and added to our Photopass account.

If it looks like we had more photos taken at California Adventure than Disneyland, it is because that is true.  For various reasons, there were more photographers in California Adventure--or at least we could find more photographers there.  In Disneyland, the Photopass photographers are assigned to more indoor locations such as Mickey and Minnie's House and Royal Faire where Disney Princesses greet guests.

Unique Photopass Photos From Our July 2014 Walt Disney World Vacation

While unusual, the fireworks photo has become a tradition.  We even helped another family get this photo taken, too!
A local professional photographer was standing in my office at work glancing at the photos on display from our summer vacation and it made me remember that all of the photos in frames were taken by someone else—either ships’ photographers, Universal Connect photographers, or Disney Photopass photographers.  I then realized that we had some unusual and new to us photographs taken by Disney photographers.  Let’s take a look:
In all of our trips to the Magic Kingdom, we had never seen a photographer outside of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  We did not mind posing for this shot--and there were a few others.
We also found a Photopass photographer near Prince Eric's Castle at the Magic Kingdom.  Happy to smile!
This trip, we spent more time riding Tower of Terror and Rock-n-Roller Coaster, so it was great to have a photo in front of a different park icon.
We found several roaming photographers at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  They were happy to photograph us.  Wouldn't it be fun to have one of those photographers follow you?!?
We walked the path around Typhoon Lagoon and bumped into a Photopass photographer capturing the great scenery and background.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios there were several "insert graphics later" photo opportunities.  We definitely took advantage!
A Photopass photographer snapped this photo of the boy as he was playing The Beast in Enchanted Tales with Belle.  I wonder what he was thinking. . .
The background of Mickey's and Minnie's at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom was the idea of a Photopass Photographer.  When he said, "Come with me," we did not hesitate.
Only a Photopass photographer could have captured this silliness and made it work for a character meet and greet.  One of my favorites!
There was also a photographer outside the Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom.  And, again, we didn't mind stopping for a few photos.
This photo shows the sign of the times.  We have similar photos from previous trips of the boy smiling at being kissed by his parents.  Such torture to endure!
And, my all time favorite photo from our trip--the wave photo at Typhoon Lagoon.  There is a story and the photo is so unusual and captures us in a natural state.  No posing here!

There you have it.  Some highlights from our 484 Photopass photos and not a one is a standard character meet and greet photo, though we do have some of those.

If you have ever hesitated about utilizing Disney's Photopass service, I understand as it took us until trip #3 to really appreciate the photographers.  Now, we wouldn't think about a trip without them.  Smile and say "cheese!"
