We got mail! We
received a card we had mailed at Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island
in the Bahamas. Seems our friends and family did too, as we
got delivery confirmation via text messages and in person.
Yes, we mailed one to ourselves just to see if it would
arrive and how long it would take. We
mailed the cards on Thursday, December 27, 2012 and the card arrived to us on Wednesday,
January 30, 2013. So, a little over a
month.
The husband said, “Things just run on their own time down
there.” Yep, “island time.” It’s an appealing way of life.
What was great about our bit of paradise mail was that it
brought back memories of sunshine and warmer temperatures while we were sitting
in a snowy deep-freeze. Ah, the
memories! How many days until we go
back? Well, a girl can still dream!
