Where Will Disney Sail in 2012?

A previous post, with the same title,  inquired about the future of Disney Cruise Line and where they would sail next.  On Monday, October 18, Disney Cruise Line announced the debut of the Fantasy, sister ship to the Dream and 4^th ship in the Disney fleet.  The Fantasy’s inaugural cruise is scheduled for April 7, 2012.  It seems that the Fantasy will alternate 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, which have previously been sailed by the Magic.  Other than the announcement of the Fantasy, there is no new news!

We are beginning to plan summer vacation 2012.  I mean just talking about potential ideas and destinations, but other than booking a cruise on the Fantasy, there is no other cruise information for the summer of 2012—even on the Disney Cruise Line web-site.  So, when will ALL the 2012 itineraries be released?

You see, the summer of 2012, we will be celebrating a wedding anniversary that ends with a zero and we want to do something special.  And, while all Disney vacations are special, we’re talking a little extra special.  Ideally, we are hopping for a 10 day itinerary from L.A. to Hawaii, but nothing yet.  Our second choice would be an Adventures By Disney Tour of Disneyland and Hollywood.  This 6 day, 5 night adventure includes backstage peeks, character breakfasts, and stays at luxury hotels.  Another option is a stay at Disney’s newest Vacation Club Resort Aulani in Hawaii.  Aulani is opening in the fall of 2011, so a stay there during the summer of 2012, might be very nice. 

Disney dreaming. . . a favorite pastime of our family.  I’ve got a while to put all the plans together and I’m sure they will all come together!
