Disney has dubbed this summer as a Monstrous Summer due to
the debut of the new movie, Monster University,
a prequel to Monster’s Inc. As part of Disney’s Monstrous Summer event,
three Disney parks will be open 24 hours beginning at 6:00 am on Friday, May
24.
Magic Kingdom, Disneyland,
and California Adventure parks will participate in this round the clock summer
kick-off Memorial Day week-end.
This is the second 24 hour Disney day this year—the first
was on Leap Day, Feb. 29 with "One More Disney Day."
Attendance is expected to be high as guests take advantage
of 24 hours in the Magic
Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
The park will close at 6:00 am on Saturday, May 25 after the
event. The park will then stay closed
for 3 hours for cleaning and re-set and open at 9:00 am for guests visiting the
park on Saturday.
