Those Magical Towel Animals On Disney Cruise Line

Did you know that on a Disney Cruise your stateroom host or hostess tidies your room twice a day? Once in the morning after you are up and out of your stateroom to make the beds, gather the towels, and clean the bathroom. The second visit is after you have left your stateroom for dinner and the evening show. This is when towels are replenished again if needed, bathroom cleaned, and the beds turned down. When you arrive back at your stateroom you will find a friend. . . a towel friend. Typically this towel friend is joined by small chocolate mints in a wrapper decorated with “Sleepy” (think one of the 7 Dwarfs) appropriately enough.

It has been our tradition to snap a photo of the nighttime goodies that are left on our bed for us to discover upon our return to our stateroom. We often try to speculate what animal or creature will greet us as we make our way to our stateroom.

Disney also offers classes onboard on how to make towel creatures. Just check the Personal Navigator for location and time. Click here to read more about Personal Navigators.

While there is no guarantee that your stateroom host or hostess will provide towel animals, we have yet to be disappointed.

Sometimes we try to save the towel animal, but eventually the tenuous sculpture falls apart.

For us, the towel creatures are just a part of the magic. . . Disney Magic!
