Meet, Greet, and Play with Phineas and Ferb at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Phineas and Ferb greet, meet, and play with guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios throughout the day at their meet and greet location near Mama Melrose and the exit of Muppets 3D.

Meeting Phineas and Ferb was on the “top 10” list for both the husband and the boy—click here to read more.  Lucky for us, Phineas and Ferb were out and above greeting guests on the day we arrived at Walt Disney World during our visit in July.

Guests encountering the “set” for the meet and greet will find the queue on the left hand side.  It is mostly uncovered and the afternoon sun can be brutal for those waiting.   The queue area goes past the area where guests are invited to “make a movie” with and for Phineas and Ferb.

There is a director who selects guests from the crowd—mostly children—and then has them perform various acts from displaying letters to playing instruments.  The boy was chosen to play a blow-up guitar.

A Photopass photographer is on hand to capture the play portion of the meet and greet.  We were given a slip of paper from the Photopass photographer that indicated the time of the “movie production” to give to a Cast Member at the Photopass store at the front of the park so that we could view and select any of those photos (this is very similar to how they handle Jedi Training Academy.)

The photos can be purchased or added to your Photopass Account.  Since we had pre-purchased a Photopass CD, we added the photos to our account.

The characters were greeting guests at the same time that the “movie” was being recorded, so parents of the children kept on moving in the line.  The timing was great, as the boy was ready to join us when we had just a few more moments in line before meeting the characters.  We were told, however, that it was the last “movie” or “play” set of the day and we were there between 4:00 pm and 4:15.

Another Photopass photographer is on-hand to take pictures of the characters and guests.  And, should you take advantage of this meet and greet and have your Photopass card scanned, you will be pleasantly surprised by the “extra” photos that show up in your account.  They are pictures of just the characters in various poses, etc.  Consider it a bonus!  If you are purchasing a Photopass CD, all the better!

We felt very fortunate to be able to find, meet, and play with Phineas and Ferb on our first day of park touring.  We didn’t have 104 days of summer vacation, but we did have enough to spend a few days at Walt Disney World!
