Christmas Eve on the Disney Dream

Christmas Eve on the Disney Dream was. . . dreamy!  We had spent the day in port at Nassau and were sailing to Castway Cay, Disney’s private island in The Bahamas, with a terrific day at sea scheduled for Christmas.

After having dinner in Royal Palace, we headed back to our stateroom and donned our Mickey pajamas, robe, slippers, and Santa hats for some photo fun.

As we were making our way from Deck 5, where our stateroom was located, to Deck 3, where the photos were being taken in the Lobby Atrium, we bumped into Pluto on Deck 4.  The Cast Member assisting Pluto immediately asked for our camera. . . I’m glad I brought it. . . and suggested various poses for Pluto.  The Cast Member said that any folks wearing pajamas for the occasion would get as many photos as they needed.  We were grateful and still in the holiday spirit as we made it down one more deck for even more photos.

We were quite a site traipsing through the Lobby Atrium to get our pictures taken.  But, Natalie, a photographer from Shutters, knew we were coming, as we had told her during a photo shoot prior to dinner.  She was ready to play and so were we!

Photos with the giant Christmas tree in the background were first.  We put on our Santa hats for a few of the photos.

Natalie’s area came next and she took several shots of us with hats and without; with gifts and without.

The boy stopped for some photo ops with the ship’s officers before heading back to the stateroom.

When we returned to our stateroom we were greeted with a towel snowman featuring a Disney Cruise Line Santa hat (that will make a great Christmas tree ornament) and a lovely piece of art work, suitable for framing.

We ordered milk and cookies from Room Service for Santa as we were hopeful he would find us on the ship.

Do you think Santa found us on the ship?
